	Accidents and injuries are completely preventable. This philosophy is embedded into our culture throughout our entire organization. Our safety approach is manifested in a combination of field procedures and ongoing training to create a culture of constant awareness to safety. Our subcontractors and partners participate in our commitment to safety.

	Wellness
	One of the major initiatives implemented at Blinderman Construction is our effort to create a work environment that is supportive of wellness - enabling our employees to overcome the barriers to living a more stress-free, healthy lifestyle. We strive to create a health-enhancing culture, with a focus on eliminating at-risk behaviors and improving overall quality of life to prevent illness and injury.

	Community
	Our employees are active in a variety of professional and charitable organizations - supporting community efforts through volunteerism, initiatives and charitable contributions. YouthBuild Lake County offers educational and job training programs to over 75 low-income, disadvantaged youth in Lake County. YouthBuild's mission is to help trainees, ages 16-25, complete their education, learn the necessary skills to become gainfully employed or enter college, and build a hopeful future for themselves and their families. All YouthBuild trainees give back to the community by helping build new affordable homes in Lake County. At YouthBuild Lake County you have the opportunity to personally witness the miracles that happen as young people change their lives.
